Board´s meeting, 12.03.-14.03., Wandlitz (GER)
The VDES sports organization organized a regular meeting of the USIC Board on March 12-13 in Wandlitz, chaired by USIC President Christophe Parel. The members of the Board heard information from the President, General Secretary, Treasurer, and Chairman of the CTT and discussed in particular the current status of USIC membership, the fulfillment of members' financial obligations, the content of the international championship calendar, and the situation in the organizational provision of sports events. Another part of the meeting was devoted to the preparation of the USIC General meeting, which will be held in May this year in Bratislava, Slovakia. The Board also approved the merger of the men's and women's championships, which are currently organized separately in some sports. The change was required by the current situation and in the future we would organize sports competitions according to a unified model as country championships.
Board´s meeting, 05.11.-06.11.2024, Prague (CZE)
USIC President, Christophe Parel chaired the regular meeting of the USIC Board on November 5-6, 2024 in Prague. His evaluation of the period since the General meeting in May of this year in Italy was followed by updates from the General Secretary, Treasurer and Chairman of the CTT.
USIC membership was discussed and it was noted that we now have 13 countries with balanced membership obligations for 2024.
Treasurer, Peter Lienhard reported on the financial situation. Obligations to the organizers of USIC events, especially the contributions to the championships, are settled.
The Chairman of the CTT, Sébastien Picca, reported on the progress of the championships in Orienteering, Badminton, Marathon and Volleyball, which took place in the months of August - October 2024, and the outlook for the following years. The organizers of the championships in Table tennis (Bulgaria) and Chess (France) in 2025 and in Angling (Luxembourg) and Cross country (Czech Republic) in 2026 are known. In January 2025, the CTT will discuss sports matters at its regular meeting.
